Description

(EN) Circular box tortoiseshell mounted in gold, the independent lid set with a circular micromosaic plaque depicting “Cane cavem” mounted in a gold frame. The micromosaic attributed to Giacomo Raffaelli (fl. 1753-1836), Rome, circa 1785-1800.

(IT) Scatola circolare tartarugata montata in oro, il coperchio indipendente incastonato con una placca circolare di micromosaico raffigurante “Cane cavem” montata in una cornice dorata. Il micromosaico attribuito a Giacomo Raffaelli (att. 1753-1836), Roma, 1785-1800 circa.
